Figure description

The layout is defined by a 4 panel view figure for each day. Each panel has a value range for the illustrated parameters at the very left of each figure. Each panel figure is showing:

Panel 1 (Columns)

  • Direct sun total column amounts (mmol/m2) (blue)
  • Sky data products 'tropospheric' column amounts (mmol/m2) (red)

The coloring is done by different shadings which correspond to the level of quality, with high quality (0,10) being dark blue or bright red. Low quality (2,12) and uncalibrated data shown faint blue or red. High quality data are shown as black dots, and also the uncertainties are shown on a 1-sigma level. For out2, using the literature reference, the total uncertainty is the combination of sqrt(independent2 + structured2) uncertainty, since there is no common uncertainty.
A horizontal dashed grey helperline is given at 0.

Panel 2

  • Normalized rms of fitting residuals weighted with independent uncertainty (red)
  • Expected normalized rms of weighted fitting residuals based on independent uncertainty (black)

A horizontal dashed grey helperline is given at the wrms quality flag level from high to medium quality fo the respective gas:

  • rout2 : 6.40e-3
  • rous1 : 8.7e-4
  • rnvs3 : 9.7e-4
  • rfus5 : 4.9e-4
  • rsus1 : 9.8e-4
  • rwvs0 : 8.7e-4
  • rwvt1 : 3.78e-3

Panel 3

  • Retrieved resolution change (%) (black)
  • Wavelength effective temperature (dg) (red)
  • Retrieved total wavelength shift (pm) (blue)

Panel 4

  • Atmospheric variability (%) (black): fixed between 0-100 %
  • Mean value of measured data inside fitting window (red): on log-scale
